Murray Equipment, Inc./ Total Control Systems is seeking a qualified individual for a career opportunity in Technical Support. This person will be a dedicated team player, responsible for providing technical support for Murray Equipment, Inc and Total Control Systems TCS 3000 Electronic Register (IoT device). Successful candidates will be motivated, self-directed/ self-starters, mechanically inclined who enjoys hands on work as well as possessing electrical wiring and general electrical knowledge. Candidates must have a strong understanding of IoT (Internet of Things) and willingness to work in the field of IoT.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support by taking customers’ telephone calls, emails, texts, and answering tickets pertaining to customers 3000 register questions and determining technical needs to provide customers with solutions to resolve questions. 
  • Works with team members to troubleshoot both complex and routine equipment issues.
  • Uses specific tools and technology to maintain registers and other technology equipment at optimal operating levels. 
  • Analyzes network problems and manage preventative maintenance procedures. 
  • Ensures that all registers are secured effectively by installing and updating appropriate software. 
  • Set up and organize IPs appropriately. 
  • Manages and monitors data usage across customers modems. 
  • Set up new modems and SIM cards and documenting all relevant data for the modems and SIM cards. 
  • Maintains network configurations to ensure that all registers and equipment on a network can communicate effectively. 
  • Test 3000 Register peripherals, software, and hardware such as pulsars, temperature probes, and additive injectors to ensure that they are interacting appropriately. 
  • Stays abreast of current trends and technology and makes recommendations that will help a customer keep up with technology standards in the industry. 
  • Trains other employees how to remedy basic register and accessories technical issues. 
  • Performs one-on-one training and coaching on technology when necessary. 
  • Explains the role of network applications and equipment to the end users. 
  • Performs various other duties depending on circumstances and customer needs.

Education & Experience:

  • Degree or technical schooling in Computer Science/ Information Science or a Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. 
  • 3+ years of prior relatable experience; preferably with computers, networks, databases, and or electrical.
  • Experience with fluid hydraulics extremely helpful but not required. 

Physical Requirements:
